FAQ

What is physical therapy?

Physical Therapy is the profession that will save healthcare by being the best option for people to care for their musculoskeletal problem and getting them back to the life they want to live.  Physical Therapist are movements specialists and will be your best choice for your recovery.  We are cheaper than getting an MRI or having surgery. We are the best conservative management option in medicine with very little side effects like other medications or surgeries may have.

How can PT help me?

We evaluate your body looking at range of motion, strength, movement, joint motions, nerve and function limitations.  We can also evaluate vestibular and balance problems and provide the latest and most evidence based treatment techniques to get you back on the road to recovery.  We help people move with less pain and increased coordination, strength and balance. We help people recover for work injuries, car accidents, joint or limb pain, post surgeries, headaches and other chronic or acute pain.

Can I see you without a referral?

Yes, you will want to check with your insurance plan to make sure they will pay for these services.  You can pay cash or make a payment plan for your care.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a $50 cancelation policy if less than 24 hour notice is given and a $110 for patients that do not show up for their schedule visit.  We make every effort to fill these cancelations that may be charged.  There is no charge if more than 24 hour notice is given.

What happens at my first visit?

You will be greeted with a friendly smile welcoming you to our clinic and a staff that has won the Best of Northshore for Customer Service this past year of any business in our region.   You will spend 45-60 minutes with a licensed Physical Therapist who is passionate to help you recover from your injury or surgery. You will be evaluated for your problem area, identifying a treatment strategy and providing a digital pictorial of treatment and exercises that will put you on the road to recovery.  We make every effort to reduce your pain levels on your first visit.  Identifying the problem is the most important thing we can do on your first visit and answer the question of “why” you are having the pain/problem.  Once this has been determined, then we set a path to lead you to recovery.  We believe in being transparent and making you part of the process for your recovery.  Sometimes, simple changes in your life can provide the most relief to your symptoms once these dysfunctions are identified.
